Is compulsory attendance really needed in college?

The attendance system has both advantage and disadvantage.
ADVANTAGE:
Attendance not only reflects the punctual of the students but also their behavior. Some of the students will escape from classes and involve in lot of bad activities if it s not maintained.
DISADVANTAGES:
Some of the students do part time work along with his students and few will do some interested courses. In these cases, definitely the system will not support them.

I suppose compulsory attendance is not needed.
In my point of view, the attendance is not compulsory in colleges because everyone have their own talent which means someone talent in playing, talking, singing so they should have to spend more time for their interested area not lazy, if the attendance is a compulsory one then they are not able to spend time for his/her interested areas, but most of the students are think very proud to bunk classrooms.

Of course, attendance should be compulsory because if we go to college for attendance then our discipline & punctuality will stay & regular with the study. If we attend the classes then we can improve our skill, sharp our mind like whatever thing we are missing in our study then this thing we can cover up by teachers & about interest then if one time we will attend the classes then automatically interest will come & enjoy the class.

As per my point of view, attendance should not be compulsory in college, in my opinion, it kills the productivity of the child, if someone wants to works on his own startup, project or any other his/her field orientated studies, but they can't think of that because of compulsory attendance in college. Some of them have to sit in boring lectures and wasting their time.
So, in my opinion, attendance should not be compulsory for all.

In my point of view, attendance is not compulsory for the growth n development of students personality. Since, the childhood we learn about time management, punctuality, discipline. College is for developing the personality of the students with the knowledge and some of the students conditions are not economically well at all they do some part time job to run their family needs. So according to me, attendance is not compulsory at all.

According to me, attendance should not be compulsory in colleges but there should be some restriction otherwise there will be only 2 or 3 students in the class, and parallel the environment should be comfortable to those students who are interested in other activities also. So, I think 60% attendance is well and good because all the students should know what are the concepts going on in classes and have some idea about it to clear their exams.

According to me, attendance should be made compulsory in college but it should be done only in one condition that college can provide enough good and experienced teachers for teaching, It should be the case that teachers are just coming for formality. Why students would come if the teachers are not good enough to teach, even you made attendance then, what's the point of making it a compulsion college do not have enough teachers and resources.

We are in a generation where the student can study by himself with the help of growing technology. The world became handy. And it is so easy to learn anything at our own pace. Students have multiple options if they want to learn something seriously.
So, I believe attendance should not pressure a student. He/she should get time to invest in his/her interests and gain skills.
In my opinion, attendance shouldn't be mandatory.

Compulsory attendence means we are forcing student to come college. If college have capable to provide to better education & other co-curricular activity then undoubtedly students will come college because some student think college is wastage of time and some have different goal & to achieve it they need time and after college they don't have enough time to fullfill it some so instead of mandatory we can decide minimum attendence.
