Is compulsory attendance really needed in college?

So, today's topic is is it right to compel us for attending the college or let it on the student. In my point of view, attendance should not be compelled us for college. Let me elaborate this my some points.

- first thing is now we are older enough to understand that what is good for us and what is bad. If I feel that important that I have to go there is no need to compel me for the same.

-college time is the only time when you can do the things that you love.

- in college time study the subject is not the only key to get success in this time we have to learn many other things. Means we have to develop ourselves. Develop skills we have to be better in every aspect.

-the main thing is if teachers teach us the level that we are interesting. Why we start to bunking the classes is we feel like we are wasting our time without gaining.

- college should improve their teaching quality.

So what I mean to say that let student decides in what they have to involve themselves they know where do's lead to them.

In my point of view, attendance is not compulsory, because let's take an example in an interview they only consider the level of knowledge you have not the percentage of attendance.

Here attendance is not necessarily but marks take place. One of the important things is nowadays job is compulsory in that case everyone has the main aim is to get a job so that's why we are studying.

Finally, gain the knowledge is important not getting best attendance, so attendance is not really needed in college.

I don't want to hesitate attendance because it will build up my punctuality other than many knows or etc.

For eg: Assume that I am working in MNC. I am well knowledged and well professional although if I don't provide my attentivity or concentration or regularity in my work it will affect all my good things so attendance is mandatory because it not gives you any knowledge but teaches the regularity. Which should be followed in our day to day life.

I firmly believe that a minimum compulsory attendance policy is essential for the development of students. Without such a policy, there would likely be a lack of discipline in college, with many students frequently skipping classes. While it is important to develop new skills and prepare for various activities, it is unnecessary to miss classes to do so. There is ample time outside of class hours for these pursuits.

Additionally, relying solely on online resources for learning undermines the purpose of attending college. If everything needed for education could be found online, the value of a college would be greatly diminished.

Attendance should be compulsory as it makes it mandatory for the students to attend classes.

Student should take college days seriously. Too much of bunking classes means wasting their parent's money and leading to irresponsible behavior.

70-75% attendance should be mandatory in colleges. This will stabilize their set of mind and will concentrate on themselves in a positive way. This will help studentS to maintain a goal and ambition in life.

Teachers should also make class sessions interactive and make use of practical things will encourage students to attend classes.

According to my point of view, compulsory attendance is not need for class because some of over students are poor and some others are average and some of them reach the poor student are not able to attend the class because they are going for job because of the attendance they can not attend class in colleges attendance is not most important thing their skills and talents and knowledge is most important.

I think it is a very bad idea of attendance is compulsory in the colleges this will make a college as a jail.

No, not necessary because if we make Attendance compulsory students will come for the sake of attendance not to gain knowledge. So to know whether students are coming to learn or for attendance.

I think attendance is not required and also learning or gaining knowledge is More important than attendance.

According to me, compulsory attendance is needed because if compulsory attendance is not there students are not interested to come to college. This will have an effect on students academic performance. So attendance is needed but college administration can reduce the limit of attendance percentage like it can be 50% instead of 75% or 80%.

Compulsory attendance is not really needed in college, but minimum attendance is necessary (65% as set by our college). Because at least one can have a brief idea of what the subjects are and what is the current topic being taught in the class and also an idea of how many topics he has missed. This way the student can at least plan which are the subjects that he/she should start reading early and which are the ones, the student thinks he can complete just one or two weeks before semester exam (at least if the student doesn't want any backlogs in those subjects). Attending the classes on time also teaches us how to be punctual, which is necessary. Because in future no matter where we work, whatever may the job, being punctual will be a plus point for us. Now the rest of the time while the student isn't studying or attending his regular classes that time can be given to the societies that he has joined or in doing something productive that will help him to achieve his goals in life. In this way he can at least maintain a decent CGPA, to sit for campus placement so that at least he can have a job to fall back upon if things don't work out according to his plans. Time management is necessary if you want to achieve something in life. But in the end I also want to add that whatever I have written is not to be related to those who waste their time by smoking weed and getting high all the time and just lying on their bed in hostel rooms just like drunkards and drug addicts, because for them neither attendance nor studies or even their goals in life (if they do have any!) matter as much as getting high or getting drunk.
