I am glad that I got a chance to throw some light on this topic In our economic matters, "there is an excessive tendency towards the thinking rather than doing".

1. This is very important that before doing anything we should must think about it properly. But excessive thinking of any thing leads to destruction.

Specially Indians have a mentality of thinking a lot before doing any thing such while marketing etc.

2. The whole time is finished in thinking and thinking the implementation should gone to be finished. Even the engineers whose job is to implement the practicals also go back. In almost 60% colleges of India at the time of implantation 80% of students push there chair back as they are only there in support of theory.

3. Government is the toppest creature who wants the huge amount of time to think for even an small thing. Ya this is write that that there are lot of formalities but still are is too much delay in giving the decision.

For ex. At the time of 26/11 Mumbai attack, ABDUL KSHAB was declared to be culprit behind that so why he is hang too late. What government is thinking.

4. Even the child wastes a lot of time in making the strategies that how to study and how to make our courier and in thinking that all time is gone and exams time would come.

5. Instead of arguing on economic matters, we must first implement it in our day-to-day life and see its impacts on our life and then make proper decisions according to the need.

6. The problem with our countrymen is we give a lot of importance in understanding things but not so much for implementing what we have understood.

Specially for our country its truly prosper this mindset has to be changed for the better.

Thank you.

Hello friends,

In my opinion, thinking rather than doing is creating a lot of problems as we know that most of the time we think about a lot of different things but when the time comes we hardly think about its implementation. So in my opinion implementation plus thinking should be our motto. We not only have to directly implement anything without thinking because in that case also we can not get fruit full results. So we can say that thinking plus implementation is the track of railway line which we have to take at the same time or you can say side by side.

As we can see in the budget also, the first budget comes at the end of our financial year for its implementation in the new year and we can see a lot of things that were mentioned in our budget gets implemented in the next year. We can also see in our school every year we get our syllabus and then only whole year our teacher help us to finish us that course all these things are nothing but the implementation of our thinking, the Same thing applies in any business either small or big. First, we have to make a plan about all things and then only we can implement. So we have to learn from all these things and try to take both equally important for our economies matters.

Thanks.

Hi Guys,

We can say that In our economic matters, there is an excessive tendency towards the thinking rather than doing, but it doesn't mean that both can not work together if we want to grow at all the stages so there is need that we keep equally focus on both the things because doing without thinking is not going to be a fair deal the right process is that think first and then try to do in a systematic way then you would face lack risk in your work process. Our country India is still a developing country where most people only think but don't implement because of lack of knowledge and we all know that without proper knowledge what can we think I mean that matter would be not very useful because good ideas always come with the help of proper knowledge which is gained by doing a lot of hard work at all the stages of life and in our nation hardly people know about hard work and smart work because they get nervous when they face difficulties in their lives.

So, overall, I would like to say that to think 'useful thinking' is not a bad habit but try to implement that so that your useful thinking can work properly in your life.

Hello, I agree that in our country people only think rather than acting. Why not. Cause the head of the nation -the govt of India also needs a think tank like NITI AYOG. The sole purpose of which is to think. To my opinion whenever there are 100 minds there are 100 ideas and it makes same happened to India. There is think tank then lok sabha rajya sabha prime minister president. They all think about the economic development but when the time comes to implement the idea there is oposition media debates criticisms. Any idea needs to go through so many slopes that it loses its significance and most of the time are entangled between loksabha and rajya sabha. Simple issues like banning triple talaq faced so many criticism. Even a 10 year old rape vistim wanting to terminate her pregnancy faces trials of sc verdicts and for that also so much discussions and debates. Unless people and govt startes walking the talk india's economic as well as social progress is doomed to stall.

In the country like India just thinking is not the solution of any problem. Instead of just thinking the intention to do or complete the work will solve the problem. For example-When ministers take oath at the making of new government they say they will maintain the unity of the country, the will make development in each and every field etc. But all such thinks goes in vain when the time comes to do such works.

If we compare our country from other country like CHINA why they are so much developed? The reason behind it is they just not think but they implement. Each and every people even small child are very curious about nation. That why today they are challenging this world in each and every field. Their is huge difference between thinking/saying then doing. So the time has come to think above all this things. Just do your work/implement your thought and see the result.

India is a very large and diverse country. There are areas which are BPL and then there are SEZ areas. There are rich Industrial areas in one part and agriculture areas in another. Developing an economic policy for the whole country in keeping in mind the different regions is very difficult and requires careful planning so that no one 'feels' neglected. The policy also takes time to be implemented and it has to be passed down from top to bottom in hierarchy in the government. Having said that, I do believe that the government can improve the speed of the implementation. Navjot Singh Sidhu would have said this- 'business is like the English weather, it can change at any time of the day' (he hasn't said that, but there is no stopping him). Sometimes the policy is too old for the environment and its back to square one. Thus our ministers should take heed with that.

There is no doubt that India has produce some of the greatest intellectual in the world but when we take a list of famous inventors in different field then we can see that the share of Indians are at a minimum. The problem with our countrymen is we give a lot of importance in understanding things but not so much for implementing what we have understood.

This happens in every field. Take the case of finance. There are less than 2 percent of household in India who has invested in the stock market. At the same time we can see that there are a great number of people who know that our economy is booming also they have the knowledge to invest in the market. But they will not do it rather they stay and watch the action from outside the ring. So for our country to truely prosper this mindset has to be changed for the better.

Yes this does happen to some extent because India is a democratic country and hence everyone has a say in everything. Therefore before deciding anything there is a lot of debate and exchange of opinions.

I agree that if its an economic policy for a big country such as India it has to be well thought of and not hasty. But as they say too much of anything is bad. So in this we should not waste time and resources. Also over-thinking complicates things.

Of-course it is easier said than done so lets not judge the government because since independence we have progressed a lot. Even during the 2008 recession India was one of the least affected counties. So the policy makers must have done something right, right?

Here we are discussing the topic that is "in our economy there is an excessive tendency towards the thinking rather than doing. ".

Actually that's true with each Indian. In fact I will say that this is the special characteristic of the Indian.

Every one just comment on whatever is going on but does never do anything.

That's also true with our government and also in our economy.

That's true that before taking any action, they should think on it and there should be a discussion and should include the everyone's view,

But in India, this takes a lot of time on discussion and in fact after that, most of the time, no action is taken.

There is a great saying "Think twice before you do". And that is what is all our sixth sense is about.

Due to the resource scarcity, let it be a country's economy or a family like small units' economy, they have to attribute the right resource for the right purpose on right time. For which thinking is initially needed before doing it. Some thinking gives us learning, some gives us experience and only few moves into action.

So, excessive thinking is not bad, unless and until the planning out of it comes in to action or learning out of it goes into knowledge which can be useful for future decision making processes.
