Hii guys!

In my view, educational qualification should not be criteria to elect representative because an illiterate person has the ground experience which educated ones don't have it. Putting educational criteria will be like santching person's chapati from his mouth, knownig that he has the right to eat that same is with it also, santching the rights from the citizens won't solve the problem.

I agree with you people that every person should have the knowledge to do a particular thing and so politicians, but I don't agree with that an educated person won't get corrupted. The Proof is we have seen so many highly qualified officials including civil servants also involved in several illegal activities till now. So education only is not a measure to decide a man to become a politician. We have to take into account his background, his ethics and his nature of treating people.

Education with life experience makes a person wise. The person who wants to learn new things every day and apply his/her learning in real life has the ability to change the world. A bookworm who only learns for own satisfaction cannot be a leader. Leadership qualities cannot be achieved only through education if you don't have the inner talent. For politicians who lead our country needs to have some leadership qualities. With education, their skills can be polished. But as we keep track of history many great people didn't receive a proper education but they were excellent in their fields but one thing is common they never stopped learning new things. So basic education is needed but also politicians should have empathy for the countries people and have the valuable experience with life.

In my opinion, all politicians should have basic education to improve the poor condition of the nation. Illiterate Politicians are harmful for our nation because they have not any knowledge about any sector like the technical sector.

In my opinion, all politicians should have basic education qualification as education helps in broadening vision. In formative year discipline of learning helps a person in knowing the world through reading and using various other technological modalities n inspire the person for self learning. An educated politician can comprehend the neuances of technicalities of various issues, can enquire further and finally finds the solution of problems n able to implement it only an well informed person can use tools of power and technology effectively to cater masses. Our politicians are not at par in qualification with their subordinate administrative officers who succeed in maintaining the callous attitude and corrupt behaviour which trickles to grass root level. By keeping the facts straight politicians can rein in the corruption & roll out their action plan.

In our point, education is mandatory for every Politicians. In India more than politicians are illiterate, so they cannot make a country growth progress. They don't have basic knowledge of everything, the only purpose they make own income from politics. But they have education promote every sector included their knowledge.

@Abhishek Choubey's.

Educational qualifications don't reflect their selfish, evil thoughts like getting corrupt, gambling etc. There must be a psychological test, which can help to dig into heir motives. These can be known mostly from their deeds and must be dealt immediately.

Yes, I agree with you Gagan Shivrayan that educational qualifications don't necessary imbibe in them leadership and management skills (and also can be bought, because of low standard mean people, because of such low standard governing staff), but must pass through an interview of high standards, testing their abilities, like in the case of IAS. There must also be a psychological test if he is selfish enough to get corrupted. This framework to choose politicians must be brought into practice.

Education is important to political.

Some people get degree easily but they don't have any knowledge about politics and political rules and responsibilities.
