Yes, the NGOs do fill their pockets. Who doesn't wants to fill his pockets? I personally suppose no one is there who doesn't like luxury and there is nothing selfish in it because it's natural. But it doesn't mean that they don't work for the people. They are at least loyal enough to look forward to public interests. Even if they have selfish motives behind it rather ends up in the betterment of the society at least they don't sell themselves up like the government.

Friends I believe NGO works for poor. When you pour any liquid from the hight to any utensil, its not necessary that all liquid go into that utensil, some material will go outside of it as well. For those region who are not aware about the development happening in the world, who don't carry some basic skills, or not aware about the skills they have or not getting the opportunity to encash their skills, I think NGOs are providing good platform to them.

NGO's are working in INDIA very properly and with all dedication.
NGOs are doing their work with all their efforts and resources available to them.
Mother Teresa who worked for the orphan children, didn't work for the money. Nana Patekar who donated his 90% of the earning to the charity& worked for the farmers.
NGOs do the work which governments should do.
I would just say NGOs are "by the people, for the people, of the people".

Some are genuine while others are not all they seem to be. I volunteer with the Sitaram Jindal Foundation and they are very active towards healthcare, infrastructure. Education and women empowerment. They are pretty good and their main interest is towards the betterment of the society and moral upliftment. Wherever you wish to contribute, do a thorough check and see if they are doing work towards charity and then contribute.

Still, I worked in NGOs all are fraud, they completely concentrate in making of money by creating false bills and fake documentations, most of funding agencies just looks at only documents they don't want to see whether they are working or not. Ex. APSACS they are wasting public money by giving crores to NGOs, but the pros see only documentation but not work. So please don't waste public money by giving NGOs.

We all know that we have to go cover long distance towards education on towards better healthcare system. Poor are still helpless, there are so many areas where government is still struggling to find the better solution and in this current situation, NGO is a need of an hour. NGO works for betterment fo society. They provide help for needy or we can say NGO is a boon for poor people for India.

NGO are the non-government organization that works for the betterment of the people. As every coin has two sides, similarly there are some people who work sincerely while there are some who don't.
But there are many NGO who are working for the betterment of poor people, for orphan children, for physically handicapped people. So we can say that NGO is important for society.

I agree that there are some NGO'S which are for their own profit and also converting the black money into white but on other side there are NGO's which work for the poor children and for development of rural areas. Sense foundation is the NGO in Delhi which provide education to the poor children and take care of health and medical for people of rural areas.
