Hi everyone,

The given Topic is digital India.

This was a programme initiated by or prime minister of India. It is one of the steps that the government of India has taken to move ahead from being called as a developing nation to a being called as a developed nation.

Every coin had two sides and similar is the case with digital India.

I would like to put my view of digital India.

ADVANTAGES:

* It helps the student community because nowadays there are many online courses that are available and students can also put their queries and they can get their answers.

* There are some other apps that help the students as well as the job seekers in finding the right answers for the questions that could be possibly asked in their question papers or their interviews and therefore helps them to achieve their goals and targets.

* Time can be saved because of the online transactions that are taking place.

* The risk of carrying amount reduces.

* It made our lives easier by allowing us to now see the train or bus schedules online and also allowing us to book online.

* less infrastructure is needed like we need only a bank account and have a good internet facility.

* Since everything is linked like the Aadhaar is linked with the bank account, there is less possibility of black money.

* When there are online payments made the ATMs used for withdrawal of money is less and therefore the fraud of copying the pin code of the debit card and making a similar debit card reduces.

* Information is available to all at any time and any place.

DISADVANTAGES:.

* The illiterate are unable to use this digital platform but the government is making an effort to educate all by implementing new schemes to educate all and make them skilled.

* There is a risk of hackers.

* Good internet facility is yet to be established for all which is in the process by the government of India to provide internet facility to all by 2020. And I hope this will take our country forward.

* some people feel insecure to use this platform.

* Well, so hoping for a better economy, these points are from my point of view.

* You can add many more points to the discussion.

Thanks for reading.

Digital India is a campaign launched by the government of India on 1 July 2015 to ensure basically two things:

1. Government services are made available to citizens electronically through the online system.
2. To connect rural areas through a high-speed internet connection.

Positive effects:
1. Saves time.
2. Reduce risk of being got stolen.
3. It is a cheaper means.
4. It provides information easily.
5. fewer queues in bank and government offices.
6. less corruption.
7. It is accurate.
8. It makes India people more advanced in the technological field.
9. less workload

Negative effects:

1. Risk of being caught in a fake or fraud website and lose money.
2. Illiterate people face the problem.
3. Poor people can't afford to have electronic gadgets.
4. It tends to increase unemployment becoz work of people get done by online system.

Hello everyone.

Our Indian Government really took a good initiative to make our country a digital country. So, in this case, my opinion is that.

As every situation has it two sides, that is it has it merits and demerits. But in this case, there are many merits compared to demerits.

This action taken by the govt will benefits to everyone like from old to young people, poor to rich people, businessman to even employes. But provided they have proper knowledge about the new technologies that come in to use to make digital India, Technologies the sence like for money transation PhonePay, Gpay, Paytm etc and in Education sector nowadays in the pandemic period students can study over the online platforms like Zoom app, Google Meet etc these are some merits.

When I talk about demerits it about, uneducated peopls, due to poverty some people can't afford new technology and Internet connection. These are some barriers that cames in between the process of digitalization, but we can break these barriers by education.

The peoples about it, and spreding the awareness about it, convesing them about its benifites.

I would like to start with past where we used to go out for everything like food, shopping, no emergency messages, calls, we barely know e-learning, no fast approvals etc. So everything used to take time even it is emergency.

But now, everything is faster than before. We barely step out for our daily necessities. Digitalisation has helped us a lot during the pandemic in the case of education, some online service organizations, and firms. Many students who cannot attend offline classes of coaching due to academics or jobs or some who cannot go to cities and stays in rural areas will get benefited. Many are benefitting from online resources. Now, everything is shifted to online.

Everything has some disadvantages. So, digital resources, and platforms also have some. To transform to digital we need devices like mobile, should know how to operate it and should know about fake and real resources. It will also affect those who are selling goods outside or providing services offline. Hacking and leakage of personal data is the major problem if we are not aware of fake links, fake calls, and messages. But we can avoid this by aware people of it. It is also affecting students, due to the pandemic many students were addicted to mobiles and unable to focus on their studies. Even this can be avoidable if parents take a look at them.

In future we won't be using paper currency, everything will be much faster and the number of services increases.

I would like to conclude by saying that if we use these digital resources properly then everyone will get benefited for sure. As the population of India is increasing we need digital services for sure to handle everything and Most of people are trying to convert their services to digital.

In 2015, the Government of India launched a massive campaign named "Digital India". This was done to make the government services accessible in various parts of the country. The main aim was to improve access to technology to the people of the country. The government worked on improving internet connectivity and made sure that it was easily accessible to the remote and rural parts of the country. One of the initiatives included a plan to connect the rural parts of the country with high-speed internet.

Digital India was launched on 1 July 2015, by the current Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. The campaign drastically boosted the use of electronic services and products. The project is run by a Government entity called Bharat Broadband Network Limited (BBNL).

Objectives of Digital India:

The massive campaign is divided into three parts which hope to achieve the following objectives:

A stable, secure digital infrastructure connecting every part of the country.

Easy access to online government services (e-Governance).

Digital literacy of the masses:

The government of India wanted the rural public to make use of the internet and offer them access to various services online.

Digital Infrastructure:

With a population of over 130 crores, India is the second-largest populated country after China. The actual meaning of digital infrastructure is in reference to platforms where the citizens of the country will have a digital identity which will allow them to access government services easily. Under this initiative, almost all services are made available online such as managing a bank account, long-distance learning, signing up for various government portals, storing documents digitally, etc.

The project is also working on providing high-speed internet access to all the rural parts of the country. This will help them reap the benefits of the hundreds of project the government runs.

E-Governance:

Digital India has introduced a large number of government services. Some of them are:.

Mygov.in.

A platform where people share inputs and ideas on the administration's policy and the overall governance. This is introduced so that citizens can actively participate in the process.

Digital Attendance:

In an effort to keep records of government employee's attendance, the initiative was launched in Delhi and made use of a Biometric System to mark the employee's attendance.

UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance):

It is an application developed for all mobile platforms and even works on feature phones. Available in multiple Indian languages, the application allows people to access services such as tax payment, railway ticket booking, education portals, a digital locker and a biometric identification system called AADHAR.

EHospital:

This is an application that provides access to various hospital services such as online lab reports, payment gateway, book an appointment etc.

ESign:

It is a service which allows the registered citizens to digitally sign a document using their AADHAR cards as a means of authentication.

DigiLocker:

A digital locker which helps citizens store all their government documents digitally. It is a cross-platform application developed to work across various branches of the administration. Since the documents are authenticated by the government itself, there is no need for citizens to carry a physical copy.

Digital Literacy:

This is a huge step undertaken by the Government of India to let rural people make use of the internet in order to improve the overall quality of life. A majority of the rural population did not have internet access until 2015.

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi also undertook an initiative to make rural households digitally literate. The massive 2, 351. 38 crore project is an effort to cover approximately 6 crore households under its umbrella. The project, executed by a body known as PMGDisha (Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan) , is hoping to achieve its target by the end of March 2019.

The impact of the Digital India project:

Digital India has a profound impact on people from every aspect of society. The campaign has had a positive impact on the life of the individual as a whole and has contributed to the progress of the society as a whole.

There are hundreds of programs under Digital India. One of the plans is aimed at creating 28, 000 BPO jobs throughout the country and set up a "Common Service Center" in every gram panchayat.

This will also enable the government to generate thousands of IT jobs since Digital India will require individuals to help establish the platform as well as introduce a new wave of the young population to the digital revolution.

Till now, Digital India has connected more than 250, 000 villages throughout the country. Every village covered, now has access to high-speed internet provided by a government-owned telecom called the BBNL.

The Indian Government also undertook 11 technological initiatives including boosting the volume of digital payments by encouraging several payment platforms such as PhonePe. It also encouraged the RuPay platform, an Indian company competing with the likes of MasterCard and Visa.

The Prime Minister said that if people start using RuPay, it will directly benefit the country. Since the infrastructure was not present at the moment, IT companies started hiring more people in order to develop one.

The campaign also led to an enormous decrease in the amount of black money people had. Since everything will be done digitally, many people came under the tax radar and as a result, a significant portion of the black money in the market was traceable. This led to a sudden increase in the revenue collected by the government in the following year.

People from all over India can now directly engage with a large number of government agencies from the comfort of their homes. For example, in the past, people used to travel for hours on end just to get to a hospital to realize that their doctor wasn't available.

The rural part of India, which constitutes a majority of the population suddenly found themselves interconnected, directly benefiting millions of lives. Farmers can now intercommunicate and get help from the experts on a range of variety of subjects.

Digital India- Success or failure?

Digital India is a work in progress in the truest sense. Though the project has surely made an impact on the common people of India, much of the work done is either inadequate or unsatisfactory at some level or the other.

However, the number of internet users in India has increased to a whopping 500 million users in the year 2017. Suddenly, the country has the highest rate of newly added monthly users, contributing almost 10 million people every day.

Surely, the government initiative has done much work in laying out the groundwork to a technologically advanced country, but the lack of awareness, literacy and infrastructure is getting in the way. The government hoped to cover more people under the umbrella of the scheme, but some parts of India are still unable to use the technology due to various reasons such as lack of resources or understanding.

The project can be considered to be successful in general terms but still remains a failure in the broader sense. Of course, campaigns like these take years if not decades and Digital India is still in its early stages.

The government is actively pushing the project and announced in the 2019 Union Budget that they will be working towards a $5 trillion digital economy in the near future.

Thank you.

Good morning everyone the topic given to us is very interesting. So guys in my opinion digital India is a great initiative which was taken by our honourable P.M.Mr. Narendra Modi. The advantages of digital India is quite a havier than flaws:

Because after this initiative many things become easier for us like online banking where we can do the online payment within seconds without going here and there so it saves money and time as well.

E-commerce: after digitalization shopping becomes easier we can buy anything, anytime so it also saves lots of time.

E learning: the people who can not afford money for coaching or any good institue now they can learn by e learning with very less money.

Corruption: Now there is no involvement of the third person for any transaction so corruption is also reduced.

Yes, you might have some chances of duping by hackers so you should take care of it and be smart.

@All.

As we all know every coin has 2 sides one is good and other is bad so according to that this digital India project also has 2sides. This project is very useful for them who really knows about the simplicity of online transaction and it is not that much important to those who are not well educated or those who live in rural areas. The people who's bread butter is dependent on their daily work, not even have the mobiles or the things which are required for online transaction and all such things so how it can be beneficial for them As I think government should educate the people because this is the only way to make this project successful and then only it will beneficial for whole India.

It benefits to entire people and provides a lot of services towards people which have a Smartphone and internet. We can reduce our efforts and time to do work for a large time due to digitalization we can do payments and withdrawals money from the bank and we can transfer money from one person to another person within seconds. The usage of technology was increased and the literacy rate of the people also increased.

The merits are it will lead to growth in the economy due to an increase in GDP Percentage and implement new and advanced technology and provide services digitally.

Demerits are due to improved lack of technology like small scale sectors like rickshaw and auto driver's they can lose their employment due to advanced technology services like Ola, Uber, Rapido etc. And also small scale businesses like Supermarkets, and grocery shops can also loss their business due to online shopping platforms like amazon, BigBasket etc.

I can conclude; it is a boon as well as a curse depending on the growth of development and mindset of the intellectual person.

Hey everyone.

As we know digital India campaign was started by our honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Digitalization can be very beneficial in the education sector particularly in stationery things like pen, pencil, notebooks, and books. Because every single page of a book, pencil as well are made of trees. And if go forward to digitalization the use of plant-based products effectively reduced which helps us as well as other living beings to survive on planet earth.

Digital India: initiated by the prime minister of India on 1st July 2015, which comes under the ministry of electronics and information technology, and suggested or under surveillance of Ravishankar Prasad and SS Ahluwaliya, in digital India companion 224. 5 lakh crore invested by top companies CEO.

This companion was introduced for making India crime and corruption free and to connect colleges directly to the government and to spread the government's scheme and work progress and to reach to the people,

The government of India have introduced a lot of apps for transaction or banking, for complaint, for documents, etc. And now, Under Pradhanmantri Digital Saksharta Abhiyan, government's officers are teaching the peoples from a village about digital India and how to take benefits of it by using apps.

Merits:

1: Making India a superpower in the world and empowering India to become a developed country from a developing country.
2: Internet user's increased by about 500 million as of April 2017.
3: Job creation:- 1. 7 crore direct jobs and 8.5 crores indirect job provided under digital India companion in BPO and many other Fields.
4: by installing WIFI and providing Hotspot can be used in the education system to upgrade it.
5: the ability to boost small and big business.
6:due to low use of paper and vehicles we are saving the environment.

Demerits:-.

1: India is not fully digitalized, it is semi-digital country.
2:due to low or lack of network, difficult to use apps and chances of failure.
3: can use it for spying someone by creating an app, someone can hear our conversation without doing anything in our phone, by activation of the microphone without coming in our knowledge.
4: privacy and security are the main issues.
5: the government must have to focus on water and oil/fuel related problem instead of making India digital because water and oil are in regular use.
6: making people effortless and lazy, which increases or leads to bad health.
7: by using the internet we are increasing radiation which is not good for the environment and also for the children or people.

Conclusion:

Digital India is a huge step toward making India a superpower and transportation from developing country to developed country, but the government have to focus on ground level problems which directly related to every people especially middle class and poor people.
