Capital punishment should not be banned as the prison may think that even though he is caught and is given lifetime imprisonment he can fill his stomach sitting in the jail. But can any type of imprisonment repair the irreparable loss of loosing a life of a person? At least capital punishment creates a fear among the criminals that they may have pay their own life for taking someone else life.

I think so capital punishment should be given in Indian context because its very necessary for those criminals who think that they can do crime freely and no one says or told anything to him and even not judiciary also see every crime his its a different level so we have to make a fear of punishment in their minds and according to theirs crimes judiciary take any action against to them.

Capital punishment should not be banned in India but it should be more specified and more descriptive so that any innocent person not get punished by this as per my opinion CP should be more worst than hanging people because it is easiest way of dead and terrorist who kills thousands of people and by taking only one life of him or her is not Justice to all those who are killed by them.

According to me, it should not be banned it should be there for serious crimes, after all there should be lesson for criminals who are there to harm us our country our people, our country spends lots of money on these criminals like 26/11 (Ajmal Kasab) India spends money on him seriously a lot of money if he had to be punished earlier that money had been saved. So it should be there.

My personal opinion is that it is uncivilized for the 'state' to take life: that is "murder by the State". But this' only my personal opinion - and probably does not adequately consider the pain of the relatives of the people who've been murdered, who probably want the murderer (s) to die.

It's yet another complex societal issue, which we've not learned how to deal with properly.

I support capital punishment, many perpetrators deserve it. For example; the rapist and murderer, if not they will do the same mistake again and again and will become an expert in it, they should be killed for playing with the lives of innocent people. If capital punishment was banned no one will get afraid of laws and lead their lives against the laws by making crimes.

Capital punishment should be banned I would like to ask all the people supporting CP that does it make us any better by killing those who kill?

Almost all religious texts say that killing any criminal makes us a bigger criminal. Also CP is taken as an opportunity to take revenge. It does not deter the crime. Mentally sick are also killed innocent ones lose their life.

Hello everyone.

In my point of view, Capital punishment should not be banned.

As we all know, criminals who are rapist or murderer do not take life impressment seriously. They consider jail a safe house due to some corrupt officials as they provide them with all facilities.

So at last, I would like to say that capital punishment is the right offence.

Thanks to all.

I think capital punishment should be there but in rare cases, like for a terrorist who has taken life of number of peoples, and for some real rapist also but not everytime because if we make it such a normal punishment then accused were not afraid of it and it will be lost that fear which is required in every one mind.

Through that may be chances of crime increases.

I'm Rasika, & I have a different idea of capital punishment, which should be abolished. Every living being should have a right to live.

Better to treat the source of the crimes. I believe, love can play a vital role on this matter, as everyone expect love & care among each other. If all hearts are full of love, automatically these crimes may be reduced.
