Are Peace and Non-Violence Outdated Concepts?

We can say that peace and non-violence are interrelated to each other as where there is non-violence there will be peace no one can expect peace at a place where there is too much of violence.

People never expect peace where there is violence so I think non-violence and peace are interrelated to each other.

Non violence is a not problem. But that is one Dirty teachings and unrest experiences.

Peace and nonviolence are interrelated each other. Without non violence we can not expect peace. Peace and nonviolence help in growth of society and county.

Peace & Non-Violence reminds us of NAM.

NAM is a group of people that are not formally aligned or against any major power bloc.

The question is not only whether it has any relevance or validity to India or any other countries post-cold war era of today but also if the policy has served the young nation as it was believed it would do in defending & promoting the national interest.

One of the unfortunate aspects of the foreign policy debate in our country has been that there has been no debate.

The argument was that we needed peace in the world to devote all our energies and resources to development work. It was India's role and duty to prevent from being sucked into the ideological war. The non-aligned community made an important contribution in arresting the deadly rivalry between capitalism and communism and thus saved India, and other non-aligned countries, from becoming pawns in the global game of the super powers.

On the whole, NAM did not bring any particular benefit, political or economic, to India. India does not need to belong to an amorphous group or give any label to its foreign policy to achieve its goals. We do not need to hanker after leadership. Leadership has to be recognised by the followers, it cannot be a self-appointed affair. India has to be a strong power, not to bully anyone but merely to defend itself against the hostile forces in the region. An economically strong India, which alone can become militarily strong, will earn respect and leadership.

Pragmatism, and not a profession to some outdated concept, must be the guiding principle of our diplomacy.

Many of us, think that we need to have a Gandhian attitude to develop India.

Right?

Just think once more. Will this really be helpful? It's very difficult for us today to adopt this attitude when we always need fast results.

I ain't saying that we should go for violence but we just need to put our argument in a really really strong manner.

As you all know about the things happening in India. Also, you know our drawbacks. Just the thing we need to so is to keep our voice low and arguments high.

It doesn't mean violence or any waiting activity (non-violence).

Peace and nonviolence can never be outdated. By nonviolence situations only exacerbate. While people are disturbed and resort to violence they don't understand the harm they are causing to others. But after momentary anxiety people repent about what they have done. Peace talks are a way better solution to come to an agreement. Through peace and negotiation, people get to know each other's faults and good. But at times harsh steps needed to bring to books the perpetrators. Like terrorists. They can't be defeated by peace talk cause they don't understand the meaning of it. There needed strong military actions. But when and wherever peaceful talking can resolve a situation people must follow the path of it. Thank you.

For me, Peace and non-violence are all about Respecting everyone use of peaceful means to bring changes.

Peace and non-violence will never be an outdated concept. They are important for the survival of mankind on earth.

We can take the example of Anna Hazare who took a strong stand for Lokpal bill through peace and non-violence.

The youth today knows his/her limits and they know that how to fight for their rights provided no one gets hurt. We know that there is much more than religion, we know that less we interfere in others life, more will be the peace in the society.

There is nothing in this world which can't be settled through talks. Doklam issue is the best example, where our PM settled the issue through talks to maintain peace and harmony between the countries.

Peace and non-violence is not an outdated concept but we can't use this concept in every case. We can't understand some antisocial people by peacely.

According to me, Peace and non violence concepts are not outdated. Because In the human being life has many problems. So that kind of problems is only in peace or non-violence mode. So we will only follow us peaceful journey of our life. That concepts are living in all kind of problems.
