I agree that not everyone today believes in the concept of non-violence and peace. But that doesn't mean that we have to stoop down to their level while solving issues with them. Violence begets violence which is why we must try at all costs to solve things peacefully and calmly. In this dog-eat-dog world it is very easy to get carried away with emotions and sentiments but I am of the opinion that whatever the situation be we will prevail only if we stand firm with our faith. We should adapt to changing times but not change ourselves completely.

Well, I feel that nonviolence and peace are not outdated concepts. There are people who believe in peace and non-violence. They remain quiet for all the violence occurring on them but I think you should get into you violence when it is required.
You should be violent where you need to be. All the time violence doesn't work instead it leads to more worse situation. You can avoid such situation via peace to limit and if the person in front crosses the limit of your patience, I think getting violent is not a problem.

Peace and non violence is a concept that has been overshadowed by violence in all forms of media and entertainment. Though I do believe this to contribute heavily to the violent and non morality mindset I see in our youth.
It is our ultimate duty to teach our youngsters right from wrong, good from bad, and help them to hold onto what we've all felt as a child. The peace and love in our hearts. There is no better feeling than doing something nice for someone else. That feeling comes from the heart.

Peace and Non-violence can and would never be outdated so long conflict violence and persist in our society. Both concepts may sound some how staid to unenlightened minds due to the prevalent general chaos and wars all over the globe, it still does not mean that peace and non-violence are no useful tools in combating these various ills and evils in our society. What we need is a revolutionary reorientation towards the violent and war attitude prevalent in our present society.

War has taken a different form nowadays, they don't involve weapons anymore. They involve cyber warfare. So war itself is non voilent . So there is no topic to discuss as such. But let me tell you people one thing , War has created civilisations, (destroyed them too), created leaders, destroyed evil in the past. In the present we have become so ignoratn , we are not able to distinguish between good and bad. So i think it is better to involve in such wars than remail sidaljf

Considering the present scenario, I feel that these values are not inculcated in young minds and not given much importance. School kids fight and we see senior people yell at each other. It's been quite a common thing that we all encounter in our daily life. How to eradicate this. ? Simple. , just teach school children, the importance of peace and non-violence factors. They are the pivotal values that every single individual should possess to lead a peaceful good life.

No not at all. Peace is evergreen and non violence too. But today's politicians have made non violence a child's play by undergoing fasts for silly matters and who know whether they were really fasting or feasting behind the screens. I dont blame all, i blame only a few corrupt guys. Only non violence can solve most problems. Take for example the India and Pakistan peace talk, it is producing more results than the Kargil war.

I would like to make a point here. All problems can not be solved by these two concepts. We can not stop a terrorist entering our country by just sitting in a room and discussing the problem over tea. Though these concepts are necessary from humanity point of view but still we can not practice them everywhere.
So these concepts are outdated nowadays.
Today's youth is much more aware of his rights and he know his limits.

Peace and non-violence are still very relevant.. countries in the world still engage in peaceful demonstrations, boycotts name them...and it working. I think this only calls for patience and strategy.Fighting to acquire what people need currently in the very hostile environment does not mean peace and non violence would not work....i believe that it is the change of strategy to adapt to the changing environment.
