Definitely! Because of their ruthless desire and self greed they sold their nation's dignity. They ruin millions of people trust. They should deserve more than blame.

There are so many ways to show devotee to our nation. In that, cricket also one of the way to show devotion and respect to our country. It should be treated as a golden chance. But the cricketers who agreed for match-fixing should feel that they are surrendering their nation to become as slaves.

In my opinion, cricketers play an important role in match-fixing although it's a very shameful act that they do not think of the respect of one's country before doing such a thing. Cricketers must be understood that they are at a place for representing one's nation and they should not ruin the sportsmanship of cricket. As they are paid well for their services and this kind of act led for a shame for one's country and nation. Authorities cannot control the bookies in fact it's the decision of the cricketer itself whether he wants to get linked through it or not. As a sportsman, this is very shameful incident for the spirit of cricket. One must always play with a sportsmanship and avoid this kind of things. If this goes on then people who loved cricket so much might avoid the game.

Though match fixing is not a good deed, but its not a crime.

All human beings commit mistakes and so do cricketers. Many of them are pressurized and threatened by bookies. Unfortunately some of the cricketers fall prey to these bookies.

A good investigation team should be appointed to look into the case and if the players are found guilty there should be a life ban on them but they should not be punished because cricket is just a game and fixing is not such a dangerous crime. The life ban is enough and more than even a death sentence for a cricketer.

To conclude I must say to a certain extent cricketers are to be blamed for match fixing but if there is a good system to keep track on them and bookies can be arrested before the fixing takes place, it will be better for that player and moreover for the country.

Thanks.

Yes, I think cricketers who are involved in match-fixing should be blamed for it. As cricket is the most popular sport in our country (India) it is like religion and it should be worshipped and not destroy the beauty of these sports.

Hi friend this is Rohit, before I go for some conclusion of the given topic, I want to say that we all know India has a huge population so definitely the people who reach to a stage where they are called cricketer is tough and challenging. There is no doubt they have quality and they are the real property of country.

If they involve in such type of thing like match fixing definitely BCCI should take step against the player but it will not be ultimate solution. We have to find the real root of the problem like some people who is spreading it catch them than it will come to an end.

Yes, undoubtedly the cricketers should be blamed. They are the ones who implement the plans of bookies. If found in any malpractices, the cricketer should be banned playing at international level for a lifetime. There might be some external bodies pressurising these cricketers but they should report to the anti-corruption bodies. Spectators in stadiums watch with full of passion and enthusiasm, others watch on TVs and mobile (nowadays). Match fixing means you are making publics love for the sport a JOKE.

Yes, because Cricket is an addiction for some people who play the game excellently when you are addicted to something like cricket your mind doesn't gets occupied with other negative stuffs there are people who will attract you but we have to control ourselves and concentrate on the upcoming world cup rather then indulging yourself in the match fixing.

Hello Friends, firstly I agree with the topic that cricketers should be blamed for match fixing. This is because In our nation We have a number of talented persons but their are not getting an opportunity because of the corruption, among them most of them having an ambition to become an cricketer.

So the people who is in cricket field will know what is the right thing to do for nation and if they doing the thing like match-fixing for money they should be punished and they have to be taken out from the cricket field and that opportunity has to given to the next younger generations, so that everyone should have a fear about such a things and this match fixing will also reduce.
