In my opinion, cricketers play an important role in match-fixing although it's a very shameful act that they do not think of the respect of one's country before doing such a thing. Cricketers must be understood that they are at a place for representing one's nation and they should not ruin the sportsmanship of cricket. As they are paid well for their services and this kind of act led for a shame for one's country and nation. Authorities cannot control the bookies in fact it's the decision of the cricketer itself whether he wants to get linked through it or not. As a sportsman, this is very shameful incident for the spirit of cricket. One must always play with a sportsmanship and avoid this kind of things. If this goes on then people who loved cricket so much might avoid the game.

Hello friends,
Yes cricketers is the only one who is responsible for match fixing, NOBODY CAN FORCE YOU TO DO EVIL, UNTIL YOU HAVE TRAPPED THE EVIL INSIDE YOU, once that evil comes out declination takes place, and the evil is "greed". When the greed of players comes before his game then outsider can easily influence him and buy him. So bookies are not the one to be blamed, its the player who are encouraging them and thus polluting the purity of game.
I saw KAPIL DEV was crying in the media, cause he was also blamed for fixing but later allegation were taken back and he resigned from the position of coach. Why all this took place just because of few pranks who were involved in fixing, they not only led the names of their team down but also of their family and their country.

I think that there is no need to blame a cricketer for match fixing. As all of us know that nowadays some young cricketers are involved with the bookies for fixing.
At the starting point of any young cricketers life, they don't know 100% what is right and what is wrong. If he knows 100% then he doesn't need to take some advice from the seniors.
Actually, Bookies are eating the head of every young cricketer. They offered the young players a huge amount of money and that's why the young players used to enter into this trap.
The 1st person who should be blamed for Match Fixing is nothing but all system is responsible for this. After the System, the 2nd person who should be blamed for this is the bookies.
So, the conclusion is that we need to rectify our system.

Yes, to a larger extent cricketers are to be blamed for match fixing and the same time the committee managing these players should not be spared.
These cricketers if they give their best on the field will surely get individual and team success and money will flow, at the same time they will be revered. Despite knowing all these, they involve themselves in these malpractices keeping aside their ethics and values and end up losing their career.
At the same time, the management should realise that these cricketers are on national duty and they should abide by the rules and stay within the discipline, at least when they are on duty. They should make sure the cricketers don`t meet anyone other than their family, team, and staffs when on duty.

Hey, guys thanks for providing your good thaughts.
According to my view match fixing should be completely banned as it affects the culture of cricket as well as it degrades the value of cricket. Match-fixing has become a source of income and entertainment for fixers. A good player plays for their nations as well as for their passion but due to match fixing good players fail to show their patriotism. It should be completely banned and people who die this practice should be sent to jail and the players involved in this should be punished so no one can think over it again. Before the selection of new players, they should undergo with some skill test which involves their patience their loyalty and the true sportsmanship.

Hello Friends, firstly I agree with the topic that cricketers should be blamed for match fixing. This is because In our nation We have a number of talented persons but their are not getting an opportunity because of the corruption, among them most of them having an ambition to become an cricketer.
So the people who is in cricket field will know what is the right thing to do for nation and if they doing the thing like match-fixing for money they should be punished and they have to be taken out from the cricket field and that opportunity has to given to the next younger generations, so that everyone should have a fear about such a things and this match fixing will also reduce.

Hello friends,
This is Chaitanya here, match fixing, It is the sin of not only the players involved but also the persons behind the game. The underworld is also involving in this fraud, they treat it as a business, they commit the people who are watching the game like fools. I am a heart core fan of Indian team. But, I am totally dissatisfied with the team we see last year IPL, that too the cricketers are belongs to our country.
So the ICC takes this seriously and try to form a separate tam for the anti match-fixing. And also don't provide the bail for those persons who are involved in this crime. I hope the future games should be genuine.
Thank You.

Cricketers are not completely the ones who should be blamed. Yes, they do play a role but we should blame those who use them as puppets in order to do such a thing which is against taking the game as sporting one. As there are people who will pay for such match-fixing to the players more than what they will earn by doing a fair play in cricket they as humans will get attracted to such an offer. But if the cricketers are more honest enough they wouldn't support such an act. So I think both the cricketers as well as the main people behind this illegal act is equally responsible and there is no point of blaming only the cricketers.

Of course Cricketers should be blamed for Match fixing, because they are mature enough to take a decision. They did this match fixing to get so much money in shortcut. But they should be strictly punished for life ban and jail.
In INDIA people follow the game so deeply and this match fixing is one kind of cheating to those people and country. If one person fixing the match entire team have to suffer, because they can't concentrate on their future games and this decrease the level of performance.
RESPECT matters in life so much. So players should think about their performance and image and respect.

Match fixing is an heinous offence performed by the players of any team. Be it match fixing or spot fixing, its after effects on the game are devastating and can lead to complete downfall of the game. People watch the match because of the curiosity of what will happen next, it is this sense of curious excitement that attracts and hold them to the game but if this authenticity is lost then it is obvious that the game will soon lose its pride and people's interest. Therefore players involving in such activities must be life banned as such crimes have an everlasting influence on the game's credibility.
