Are beauty contests degrading womanhood?

I think the beauty contests are actually no reason behind the degradation of the womanhood. Actually what womanhood means the period of a being and experiencing as a woman and a feminist life with own individual ideas, freedom and all.

The beauty contests which are held actually prove to be fruitful as in they help the contestants to enrich various skills like intellect, social behavior, and many such important aspects of life. The beauty is a God's gift to all of them but the thing which matters in all such contests is the unique character which the only one among them possess it and is known to be the winner.

So I think the degradation of the womanhood is not because of these beauty pageants but rather due to the issues that are going on in our society regarding the safety of our own sister's, mother's daughters.

By my point of view, Beauty contest doesn't degrade of womanhood. The famous Beauty contest in the world is miss world and miss universe. I am very glad to say that the miss world of 2017 is Manushi Chhilar from Haryana. And miss universe of 2017 is Nel Pitsberg from South Africa. These contest independent of colour, hight, religion and tradition.

According to me, beauty contests are providing women a good platform to showcase their talents and skills. It's not an easy task to perform. Only beauty with brains can win the pageant.

I would like to express my views on a beauty contest.

According to me, beauty contest means competition in which winner candidate is beautiful from mind, body, talent, skill and how to express ownself.

Everything has +ve and -ve aspect. Like as everything beauty contest has positive and negative aspects.

First of all, I want to express my views on positive expectations. Beauty contest encourages women and gives confidence to women. From beauty contest, they think they can do something in her life like as beauty contest winner.

And it is a way to make her career in modelling, TV serial, film also.

Now I want to express my views on the negative aspect. The beauty contest is only for those people who have leisure time.

It's not for a busy and career-making person.

For this contest, Indian girls accept western culture and leave Indian culture and perform in short dresses.

Beauty is naturally processing it's not for publically shown and forget her own culture.

I think, Beauty contest gives a unique platform to woman for her enhancement. It is not all about the outer beauty that matters but the complete beauty of one that covers IQ, talent, skill, emotions and vision.

Beauty contest is degrading our Indian culture because young girls are accepting western culture for beauty contest and forgetting Indian culture.

Some dark side of beauty contest - winner remains tall, thin and english speaking.

In my opinion, a beauty contest is such a platform where a girl or a woman can show that she is not only a slave, not only a utility good to consume, she does possess her own value which she expresses to the world by means of her beauty, smartness and other excellence also.

If somebody thinks that beauty contest is all about showing body, then it is his own problem in that case contest and women have nothing to do with that.
