“Advertising is a waste of resources” can be true—when it’s done without strategy. But advertising itself isn’t the problem.

Advertising becomes a waste when:

The target audience isn’t clearly defined
The message doesn’t address a real problem
The offer isn’t validated
There’s no tracking or optimisation
In those cases, money gets spent with little to no return.
However, well-planned advertising is an investment, not a cost.

Effective advertising:

* Puts the right message in front of the right people
* Shortens the time it takes to reach potential customers
* Builds brand recognition and trust over time.
* Supports long-term growth, not just immediate sales
* Many successful businesses use advertising to scale because it:
-> Amplifies proven offers.
-> Creates predictable customer acquisition.
-> Complements organic marketing efforts.
-> The key difference is intentionality.
-> Advertising without clarity is expensive noise.
-> Advertising with strategy is a growth tool.

So, advertising isn’t a waste of resources; it only becomes one when businesses skip the fundamentals.
