In my opinion, co-education environment is like a temple. Both boys and girls get opportunity to express themselves and learn from each other. As, we can see in some areas where there is not much co-education system and the boys and girls pass out from there, they face the problem of interaction and suffer in future. So, co-education is very important because it also helps us to understand the potential of each other as what boys can do, the girls can do the same. There's no difference between them. It also increases respect against each other.

My name is Sahil Parmar and here I'm going to discuss on the topic Co-education. So, according to my point of view co-education play a vital role in developing of the nation:

It provides such a great platform to both genders (male and female) where they studies under the same institution. It helps them to remove their hesitation, Improve their skills, and also give a chance to show their spirit in all fields. They know each other by talking and sharing their thoughts. Also they learn about sex equality that girl and boys are equal. Co-education will help them to respect each other and also make them understand to help each other and also remove the shyness of them.

Conclusion: There is nothing in wrong with coeducation. It's a great platform where they can show their skills and learnt so many things from each other.

According to me, coeducation is important to us. Because boys thought and girls thought are different. When both genders study together then they share all views one another. And they do not feel hesitation to talk one another. So it is best.

Hi I am Manohar.

Now I would Like to Share my Views Regarding Coeducation.

Co-education refers to providing education to both girls and boys together, without any discrimination (specifically gender discrimination). This is the actual meaning of coeducation explained in simple terms.

Gender discrimination is an outrageous atrocity that was and is still prevalent in a few countries. Though this is a common debatable topic, its time we need to change our opinions on such factors. Other few factors help us get rid of these outdated thinking.

In ancient times, Greece was the only country that allowed coeducation. But as time passed by, most of the countries in the world have adopted coeducation into their systems.

The reason why coeducation is important is that it awakens the spirit of equality and comradeship among all students without any discrimination.

Advantages of Co-Education.

There are many advantages and hardly any disadvantages in the co-educational system of education. The first advantage is that if boys and girls are taught together, there will not be any need for opening separate schools for boys and girls. Co-education is an economical system, because both boys and girls can study in same schools and they can be taught by the same staff.

Secondly, boys and girls have to live together in the society in their later lives and if they are taught together from the very beginning, they can understand each other well. The girls will not feel shy in the presence of boys. The boys will also not tease the girls.

Again if they are taught together, it will create a sense of healthy competition among them. In this manner, they will work hard and pay serious attention to their studies. A feeling of comradeship will also develop between the boys and girls. The boys will not indulge in in eve-teasing and the girls will bot be afraid of boys. Thus they will have a balanced development of their personality.

It is also a common experience that the boys behave decently in the company of girls. They do not use rough and abusive language in the presence of girls. They also dress properly and talk mannerly. Similarly, the girls will also lose their fear of the boys if they are taught with them. On the other hand if boys and girls are taught in separate schools, boys misbehave with the girls. They boys always have a curiosity to know about them. But when they study together, their curiosity is satisfied and they do not consider girls as strange creatures.

Thus if co-education is introduced, there will be no problem of discipline among the students. In the western countries, there is no separation between boys and girls in the schools.

Dis-advantages of Co-Education.

Of course certain conservative people criticize the system of co-education. According to them, this system is against our tradition. They also fear that co-education will develop immoral relationships between boys and girls. They believe that in this system both the boys and girls will be spoilt. But these arguments do not hold much water.

The fact is that there are so many advantages of co-education when boys and girls have to live later on as husband and wife, there is no need of separating them in schools. Rather it will give them the opportunity to come close to each other and understand each other fully. We should not believe in the morality of the medieval ages. The world is changing fast today and women are being given an equal status with men in the society. Let us, therefore accept the changing order and open more and more co-educational institutions in future and say good bye to separate institutions.

The word 'Co' means together and 'Education' is imparting knowledge, hence the term Co-education is a system of educating boys and girls together.

It is a practice to give education to both boys and girls together in the same school and class rather than having a separate school for girls and boys. This reflects gender equality where both boys and girls are taught together under the same roof and is a common practice worldwide.

The practice of Co-education was since ancient times, co-education existed in Sparta in Greece. It imparts no discrimination between boys and girls and they can study and play together. Along with academic education, physical training was also given to both sexes. Plato, the Greek philosopher believed that co-education brings the overall development of both men and women and creates a feeling of comradeship among them.

Just like west ancient Indian Vedic society (Ancient India) also give co-education at few places. But gradually education to women was ignored and the system of education imparted in those times involved students living in Gurukuls during their study life and only boys were sent to far-off places. Gurukuls involve students to stay away from home and girls were not sent to far-off places and thus they were deprived of the benefits of education.

In the medieval period, India witnessed a large number of Mohammedan invasions and education experienced a new perspective, a new system of education was introduced.
The subjects taught to boys were different than those taught to girls, girls were taught things more relevant to their roles as homemakers while boys were taught subjects related to trades, and skills as bread earners. Raja Rammohan Roy, a great social reformer and scholar, fought against this practice and succeeded in his mission. His mission was further carried on by other social reformers.

Today, co-education is prevalent in almost all countries of the world. Men and women have to survive with each other in marriage or in the workplace for that they should know how to blend with each other. It is widely seen in India as well, we have a number of co-educational schools, colleges, and universities.

There is a number of advantages attached to the co-educational system of education.
1. It is economical.
2. Helps students to intermingle.
3. Shortage of efficient teachers.
4. Healthy competition and friendship.
5. No discrimination.
6. Improves academic performance.
7. Uniformity.
8. Behavioral changes.
9. Survival for the future.
10. Overcome fear of the opposite gender.
