First three options are true as the word sovereign means "to take any decision". In india, the parliament has to function within the limits prescribed by the constitution. In case of violation, the supreme court can oversee the parliament and take appropriate decision and the Indian polity is federal in structure, that is, the powers are divided between the states and the centre. The centre can legislate only on subjects enumerated in the union list and the concurrent list and it cannot legislate on subjects in the state list but with he consent of half of the state legislatures and rajya sabha it can legislate on subjects in the state list but the needs the approval of state legislatures. So, the parliament is not sovereign. Thank you.

The answer is D, because option A is correct because in parliament only those laws, bills, amendments etc. are discussed which are forwarded by central government and which are legal by our constitution.

Option B is correct because according to our constitution, for every session of parliament have a particular no. of days mentioned in our constitution.

Option C is correct because our constitution have given power to our The Honorable Supreme Court to see on all the laws, bills, amendments etc. passed by parliament, if it contravene the provisions of the Constitution.

Hence, option D is correct.

Indian parliament is indirect phenomena of governing because people's consent are presented indirectly through a representative. Sovereign people surrender their individual rights to state for its welfare. In India constitution and some other laws like Indian penal code.

Frist is supreme to Parliament and second is an organ of government and can check and balance on law legislate by the legislature vice versa, as so the president of India is the first citizen of the nation. Thus, Constitution is supreme in India and Question and options are correct.

As such logically answer is [D].

The answer is D.

Because India is under rule of law. India follow all the provision set and confirmed by the constitution and no one is greater than constitution since sovereign head (President) is also elected under the provision of Article 53& 54.

And in this question, A, B & C all options ensure by the constitution itself. So all the options are true.

So, the answer is D.

The answer is D. Here sovereign has to be understood in the context of British Constitution. In Britain the parliament is supreme because it can even override the judiciary in framing the laws. In India the constitution is supreme. Some power has been vested with the courts as check and balance and also for smooth running of the state.

Sovereign means self ruling a state where there resides a supreme power acknowledging no other superior. In British form, parliament is supreme, in American, judiciary is supreme but in the case of our constitution the people are the supreme power so it can be said that sovereignty in India vests in the people.
