This is clear from the different types of houses and living conditions found in Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro.

2. Small houses and slums – In contrast, smaller houses with fewer rooms and poorer construction materials were found, indicating that the lower classes lived there.

3. Great Bath and Granaries – Structures like the Great Bath and Granaries suggest the presence of an elite class that controlled religious or economic activities.

4. Different burial practices – The variety in burial styles also suggests social hierarchy, as some graves had more valuable items than others.

A huge swimming pool type structure was found in Mohenjo-Daro, and many other excavation shows Mohenjo-Daro was more developed than Harappa!

Very interesting ancient history this is but still mysterious because of uncoded Script !

Not sure of the explanation, however, dwellings in English means housing and excavated is built or dug.

I could not understand whether the difference/division is based on types of houses excavated.
