Percentage based first Arunachal Pradesh.

Area-based first is Madhya Pradesh.

In terms of the area, Madhya Pradesh has the largest forest cover of around 77,414 square km in the country, followed by Arunachal Pradesh with 66,964 square km and Chhattisgarh with 55,547 square km. However, these states have reported a decline in forest cover.

On the basis of the percentage of forest cover with respect to the total geographical area, Lakshadweep (with 90.33 percent) has the highest forest cover, followed by Mizoram (86.27 percent) and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

The famous KANHA national park situated in madhyapradesh.

The famous Namdapha National Park situated in Arunachal Pradesh.

In Manipur 91 percent area covers forest.

According to forest survey report 2013,

Mizoram in terms of percentage of forest to Geographical area with respect to total geographical area 90.38 percent had highest forest cover. i.e. above 33%.

According to Indian states the largest forest covers across the country is Arunachal Pradesh i.e. 63%.

Hi, friends I wrote an exam in that exam they asked about the minimal forest area in India and I think goa is a minimal forest area.

Am I right? Please suggest me.
