The location of kanyakumari is as follows:

South of tropic of cancer.
North of tropic of capricorn as well as of equator.

Since The Tropic of cancer passes almost in the middle of India, so definitely KanyaKumari is to the south of Tropic of cancer. But as we know the Equator does pass through India. So these two statements prove that KanyaKumari is North to the equator and South to the Tropic of Cancer.
