Gold is only found in southern part of India specially in Karnataka kolar gold mines, there is also large deposits of iron ore in kudremukh and bellary in Karnataka.

Yes Kolar is only major place in India where gold is found. Some gold particles are also found in sand of some rivers.

Karnataka 's kolar gold field is the only gold producing gold mine in india, this region also has iron ore mines in the bellary and anathapur districts of karnataka and andhra respectively.
