The salinity is not even in all the areas of sea. It varies from 3.1% to 3.8%. :).

Common salt is Nacl. Which is made by NaOH and HCl. Which is called saltand the amount of salt present in sea is called salinity. :).

May be, one cubic of water said as 100%. The amount of salt present in that one cubic water is 3.5%. And now salinity is 3.5%.
