May be, one cubic of water said as 100%. The amount of salt present in that one cubic water is 3.5%. And now salinity is 3.5%.

Salinity is usually expressed in parts per thousand so 35grams of salt (35/1000 )*100 that is 3.5 percent.

It is true and the most salty sea in the world is 'dead sea' which has 29 percent of salt present in it.

Salinity means presence of avarege quantity of Nacl in a fixed cubic bowl.
