The diamond crystal is made up of carbon atoms which are powerfully bonded to one another by a network of covalent bonds. Due to this diamond structure is very rigid and due to this it is very hard substance and therefore used in drilling oil wells and making glass cutters.

It is so hard that only a other diamond can cut the original diamond ! lesson to learn is: share mutually like carbon atoms in the diamond and lead a rigid life.

Because of sp3 hybradisation with bond length 1.42a.
That's why it is strongest metal.
That's why it is strongest metal.

All metals are hard, and so all not metals are soft - obviously the characteristics of all metals and non metals are opposite to each other. Since diamond is hard, we cannot say that it is a metal. It is an exceptional case in non metals. Diamond is a hard " non - metal ".

There are strong chemical bonding b/w their chemicals and its unbreakable due to this its a strong among them.

In diomond there are covalent bonds between carbon-carbon atoms and these bonds are very strong and almost impossible to break.

Because of strong covalent bond between the carbon atom.

Due strong bonding 8 e held tightly so thats why.

As we know that carbon is the most powerful element. Study of only carbon atom will takes years because the only element will form chemistry of organic called "organic chemistry. In diomand there are strond unbreakable covalent bonds exists so it is very harder in nature.

because of very strong sigma bond between each carbon atom
