Galvanization forms a barrier of zinc and prevents the contact of iron with air or moisture.

Galvanization is the process of applying a protective zinc coating to steel or iron, in order to prevent rusting. The term is derived from the name of Italian scientist Luigi Galvani. Although galvanization can be done with electrochemical and electrodeposition processes, the most common method in current use is hot-dip galvanization.

Zinc is better reducing agent than ordinary hydrogen.

Iron is positively charged i.e. +2 and tin is negatively charged.

Zinc is highly electronegative than iron.

Zinc is too much electronegative that of iron so we use it in Galvanization. It is corrosion resistant and do not get reaction with iron in any presence.

Actually zinc is a good reducing agent and not corrosion resistant. It will take the corrosion of iron as it get corroded fastly then iron.

I am satisfied with the given explanation.

Because zinc is the only substance used for galvanising.
