The proton's number is saying as electron number so both 'd' and 'a' option is correctly answer.

Because Hydrogen has no neutron, So it has one proton in it's nucleus.

Hydrogen is the first element in the periodic table. It's atomic number is 1. That means it is having one proton in nucleus and one electron in its shell. So it is having one proton in the hydrogen atom.

Hydrogen is the first element means its atomic no. is 1. Hence it contain 1 proton and 1 electron(because no.of protons = no.of electrons).

Hydrogen is top most element in periodic table with atomic no.1 so here we are considering only nucleus that contains only 1 proton. That's why when hydrogen loses its electron we call it ''proton''.

The atomic mass of H is 1 and the atomic number of H is 1 because we know that A.NO = no.of proton.
Hence in H 1 proton is present but not newtron because A. Mass = no.P+no.N. There are A.M. is 1 and no.P is 1, Hence no.N is zero.
