Earth's atmosphere is divided into five spheres. The lowest near to earth is troposphere (from 10-18km above the sea level) and it is the sphere around us full of gases in which we live and second is stratosphere, here in stratosphere is a line of ozone layer or a protective layer which absorb sun's uv rays and protect earth from uv radiation damage. Next is mesosphere then ionosphere and last exosphere. We can remember these as TSMIE.

Ozone gas is mainly present in the top layer of atmosphere. Ozone is mainly found and it forms protecting cover around us thus radiation from sun does not affect us. Earth atmosphere is divided into five spheres.

Ozone gas is mainly present in the top layer of atmosphere. It allows the harmful UV rays to enter into earth from sun and does not allow to escape that gAses, thus increasing the temperature.

Ozone gas absorbs the ultraviolet radiation irradiated from the Sun because it's frequency of vibration is similar to that of that UV radiation.

Ozone (O3) in stratosphere reflects uv radiation. And protect us from skin cancer. So it is considered as an umbrella to the earth.
