Pollination is the process of transferring pollen grains from anther to stigma of the flower. If the pollen grains of a flower is transferred to the stigma of the same flower, then it is called self-pollination. If the pollen grain of a flower is transferred to the stigma of another flower of the same species of the plant then it is called cross-pollination.

Pollination is the transfer of pollen grains from the anther to the stigma of the same spices. Pollination is all about transfer of pollen grains. Therefore, it is important to note from where the transfer is taking place. Transfer of pollen from the anther to stigma is the right answer because without transfer of pollen from the anther to stigma the pollination can not occur.
