Not all wavelengths of light can support photosynthesis. The photosynthetic action spectrum depends on the type of accessory pigments present. In green plants generally red n blue light needed, in red algae red, green n blue light is needed n white light is mixture of all colour so the answer should be white.

When we talk about plant we should consider the pigment of plant, as red can reflect red light, blue with blue. Etc so white light will be the correct answer.

The red light has pick level of energy to liberate proton from chlorophyll's. The white light is not true. It is only the Red light in which the photosynthesis process becomes rapid and in the green light its become slower.

Why it can't been take place in yellow light but anyway I agree it can take place in white light.

Actually white is more attracts the sun and also doesn't reflect like other colours.

Because white color absorbs all the light fallen on it.

Why is it white?

Photosynthesis takes place faster in white light only because it has all colours in the white light.

Temperature of Sun's photosphere is average about 5'773.15 - 6,273.15k is very low from blue and higher then red. photosynthesis is a process to get maximum energy by solar light. It is also dependent on producing by solar, so it is higher in white.We can show green leaf always green colour in white light. In red blue and yellow we show it dark colour.

In general, we all know that sunlight contain all VIBGYOR colour. WHITE is produced by all these 7 colors so white is correct.
