from my point of view photosysthesis generally takes place at the place where choloroplast is present beacause it is the base of the photosysthesis. And it also provide all the necessary coditions which require for the photosysthesis. Mainly the choloroplast presnt in the leaf or at stem if it is green.
So option 1 is an appropriate one.

Pritesh Jain said: (Dec 29, 2010)
option 1 is correct beacause as we know for photosysthesis choloroplast is important and it is only present in the leaf. In bark, roots and stem choloroplast doesn't present. So option 2,3,4 is not correct

Cloroplast is most important for the process of photosynthesis.

So I agree with 1 option.

Swati Dubey said: (Oct 28, 2011)
The compoment of choloroplast is chlorophyll, which is main component for photosynthesis. Mostly chlorophyll is present in the leaf in high amount, and it is present in some more parts of plant. So option A is correct.

Photosynthesis takes place in green parts of the plant. At the lower side of leaf stomata are present which are known as the kitchen house of plant.

Harini said: (Apr 11, 2012)
What do you mean by Photosynthesis from which language it has been take out.

Vivetha.H said: (Apr 25, 2012)
Chloroplast generally takes place in leafs and other parts of the plant

Shreyasi said: (Jun 30, 2012)
Chlorophyll is essential for occurrence of photosynthesis. Any part of plant which has the pigment chlorophyll i.e. is green in color can support photosynthesis.

Bhuvana said: (Jul 20, 2012)
Photosynthesis occurs by chloroplasts. These chloroplasts presents in green parts of plants.

Idy said: (Jul 29, 2012)
Photosynthesis occurs in the presence of chlorophyll and some plants stem has chlorophyll.

Amrutha said: (Jun 14, 2013)
The photosynthesis will takes place in leaves because the leaves contain photosynthesis and it the main and essential thing to run photosynthesis.

Jyoti Parihar said: (Sep 10, 2013)
For the process of photosynthesis chlorphyll is essential in case of plants the leaf contain large ammount of chlorphyl other then stem bez stem either green or non green so the 1st is correct.

G.Harini said: (Oct 23, 2013)
Mainly photosynthesis can be takes place in leaves and stem because the greenish colour consist of chloroplast which is used for photosynthesis. During the daytime it take carbon dioxide inside and oxygen out. At night time it take oxygen inside.

B.Jayasree said: (Dec 23, 2013)
Photosynthesis takes place in green parts only mostly occur in leaves.

Vaishu said: (Dec 28, 2013)
Photosynthesis occurs in which chloroplast is present.

Tabiti Hosea said: (May 30, 2014)
Option A is the only correct option. This is because for photosynthesis to occur, chloroplasts which are present in the leaves and other chloroplast bearing parts are needed. These chloroplasts contain chlorophyll which traps sunlight or solar energy and the solar energy consequently converts simple inorganic materials: water and Carbon dioxide to complex organic substance. So, option A is the most correct option!

Abhishek Pandey said: (Jul 12, 2014)
A is correct because chloroplasts which are present in the leaves and other chloroplast bearing parts are needed.

Vidhi Doshi said: (Oct 14, 2014)
Photosynthesis is only done by chloroplast. Leaves contain chloroplast.

Muthuraja said: (Dec 15, 2014)
A is correct answer. So photosynthesis only for leaves.

Pratiksha said: (Jan 22, 2015)
Photosynthesis is seen in Green Pigments. And as you Know leaf contains green pigments that is chlorophyll.

Sonum said: (Apr 18, 2015)
A is correct answer because chlorophyll present only in green leaves.

Nikshiptha said: (May 30, 2015)
In my view option B is correct because lenticels is the part where photosynthesis takes place in stem.

Prashant Mehta said: (Jul 26, 2015)
Photosynthesis that occur in the leaf because the leaf present in Chlorophyll and Chlorophyll is essential for the photosynthesis. So Photosynthesis that take place in leaf of the plant.

The write answer is Photosynthesis occur in leaves.

Aina Olugold said: (Feb 18, 2016)
Photosynthesis is defined as a process by which green plants manufacture their food making use of carbon dioxide and water in the presence of sunlight.

Jay said: (Feb 21, 2016)
Photosynthesis will occur in chloroplast bearing parts because it has the main pigment called chlorophyll which is most important for photosynthesis.

Aakansha Tiwari said: (Apr 17, 2016)
Because chlorophyll is important for photosynthesis.

Samuel said: (Jul 13, 2016)
The right answer is options 1 this is because for photosynthesis to occur there must be present of chloroplast.

C.Vasanth said: (Jul 21, 2016)
Photosynthesis is mainly done in leaves because of presence of chloroplast.

Vidya said: (Sep 8, 2016)
What is Photosynthesis?

Rajesh Katkar said: (Dec 24, 2016)
Chloroplast is the main photosynthetic machine. Chloroplast trap light energy and transfer it to chemical energy. To trap maximum sun light the chloroplast generally located on leaf. But they are also present on other plant parts.

Anshika Agarwal said: (May 24, 2017)
Photosynthesis is the process which occurs in the presence of sunlight. In this process leaves to prepare the food for the whole plant. So the leaves also called kitchen of the plant. Which parts of the plant have chloroplast photosynthesis occur in those parts.

Hazrat Ali Sherani said: (Jun 4, 2017)
The Chloroplast is the base of photosynthesis. So, it is present in leaf and stem in case of green stem, therefore option one is considered correct.

Jessica said: (Oct 6, 2017)
Option 1 is definetely correct, because for photosynthesis to occour there must be present of chloroplast and leaf.

Gideon said: (May 28, 2018)
Photosynthesis can be defined as process by which green plants make their own nutrients through sunlight energy, therefore it requires the leaves and chloroplast an organelle which contains chlorophyll and carotenoid pigments responsible for trapping sunlight energy.

Akshara said: (Jun 15, 2018)
Thanks For explaining @Gideon.

Haroon said: (Aug 11, 2021)
Option 1 is correct. Because as we know that photosynthesis is the process in which green plant make their own food with the help of sun light by the process of chlorophyll (contain chloroplast) which mainly occur at leaves and other chloroplast bearing parts.

Adonias said: (Sep 8, 2021)
The photosynthesis takes place on leaves because on leaves there is a pigment used for photosynthesis called chlorophyll pigment.

And also, Photosynthesis can be defined as the process by which green plants make their own nutrients through sunlight energy, therefore it requires the leaves and chloroplast an organelle that contains chlorophyll and carotenoid pigments responsible for trapping sunlight energy.
