I agree with Reshma...
They are dolphins who are highly intelligent. The behavior and biology of dolphins caught the attention of humans since antiquity.
But their ability to train, their intelligence, memory, the lack of coagulant factor from the blood, their ability to dive to great depths without the peril of gas embolism have triggered the interest of the researchers. But the brain of dolphins is not only big, but also complex, with large brain hemispheres and remarkably extended circumvolutions on the cortex.

This question is ambiguous because whales is a non-specific scientific term, which typically means cetaceans. And dolphins are cetaceans, members of the toothed whale group or "Odontoceti", this is an arbitrary division of the cetacean mammals for this question - as both killer whales (dolphins) and beluga whales (whales) are highly intelligent mammals.

The dolphin's large brain is structured for awareness and emotion. In fact, dolphin brains are more structurally complex than humans. As Emory University dolphin expert Lori Marino told Discovery News, If human standards for intelligence are applied to non-human animals, however, dolphins come very close to our own brain aptitude levels.

Some of the most amazing thing about a dolphin in order to prove it's intelligence are that sense of their empathy-altruism and attachment. The habit of helping injured individuals as evidence by many accounts of a dolphin carrying humans to the surface to breathe. And like human dolphins mourn over their dead.

Dolphines have their own natural sonar which highly advance sonar as compare to any man made sonar. One thing more dolphin uses 20% of their cerebral capacity even human being uses approx 15 % of their cerebral capacity.

How can you say that man is most intelligent mammal ? A man has a chance to show show their intelligence or performance. But if we see the capacity of dolphin is much greater than a man. It is search of scientist.

Dolphin is the second intelligent animal in the world. Dolphin have brains that are about five times larger for their body size where in human; the measurement is seven times larger.

Its the dolphins. Humans use ten percent of their brains while dolphins use twenty. Which is why they use waves as a form of communication and detection.

In dolfins the brain is developed and the parental care also developed. They can identify their generation. But man is the most intelligent mammal.

According to me DOLPHIN has more number of gyrus in their brain and the number of gyrus of the brain is the reason for the intelligence of DOLPHIN.
