The gusset plate G of a bridge joint is subjected to the two member forces at A and B. If the force at B is horizontal and the force at A is directed at = 30°, determine the magnitude and direction of the resultant force.

The angle should be 82.5 as angle of resultant is given by tanA=Rx/Ry. Where A is angle of resultant.

The ange is not correct in the C. The angle should be 82.5. Hence its B option is correct.

Angle take always from positive x-direction So C is right. 180 - 82.5.
