A continuous of total length 4 m is wrapped around the small frictionless pulleys at A, B, C, and D. If the stiffness of each spring is k = 500 N/m and each spring is stretched 300 mm, determine the mass m of each block. Neglect the weight of the pulleys and cords. The springs are unstretched when d = 2 m.

m = 153.0 kg
m = 15.60 kg
m = 4.75 kg
m = 30.5 kg

As it is symmetric length of each chord 1m.

And after expansion of spring distance between two spring is 2000 - (300 + 300).

Find angle and done it.

Yeah either length or the value is incorrect.

I think either value of D or length of the string i.e 4 is incorrect.

Length of each string between two pulleys is 1 m and now we can find the angles between spring force (kx^2). Apply lami's theorem now.
