How can be verified that a JFET contains one diode?.

A diode is basically --- two doped segment of semiconductor fused together. Thus, there forms a POTENTIAL BARRIER.

According to this aspect, JFET should have 2 diode which formed due to 2 side GATES with the channel.

An N-channel JFET consists of a N-type silicon bar and also consists of two p type semicondutors on both sides. These form two pn junctions or we can say two diodes. So the answer to this question will be two diodes.

Yeah physically it has two diodes but since during the operation we short the substrate to source the effect of the second diode cannot be seen hence the answer is one diode.

An NPN transistor looks like two diodes with the anodes connected together. The point where the anodes connect is called the base, one cathode is called the collector, and the other cathode is called the emitter.

Similarly the PNP transistor looks like two diodes with the cathodes connected together.

Answer C: 2 diodes

A FET should be consist of two diode two gates and a single channel.

Since FET consist one layer of N and two layer of P which are internally connected to each other so it form a single diode.

FET surely contains one layer of n and two layers of p but during its operation the second layer of p or the substrate is shorted. Therefore it is not counted a/c to me. During the working of fet only one layer of p and n act as a single diode.

Answer of pavan kumar and was right.

If you know the characteristics of JFET at pinch off condition, then potential barrier takes place at only between drain and source, not in between gate and source because both are at same potential.

Its a two diode structure, two well of same material with one substrate in between them.
