Whenever there is no increase in analog output with the increase in digital input it is called as "non-monotonic error".
When no signal is given to the input and still there is some amount of digital output appears at the output of DAC is called as "offset Error".

A DAC is monotonic if the analog output always increases as the DAC-code input increases.
Sometimes Analog output doesn't increases with increase in Digital input, this is called Non-monotonic error.
