16.
A series RC circuit has R = 5 Ω and C = 10 μF. The current in the circuit is 5 sin 20000t. The applied voltage is
252 sin (20000t + 45°)
252 sin (20000t - 45°)
252 sin 20000t
252 sin (20000t - 90°)
Answer: Option
Explanation:

Z = R2 + XC2 = 50

V = 550 sin(20000 t - 45°)

V = 252 sin(20000 t - 45°)

Compare 5 sin20000t to a sin wt.

W=20000.

And please explain 45° phase shift.

How we get 5ohms? Explain.

Get the reactance for the capacitor.

xc= 1/2wc = 5ohms.
w=2πF = 20000.

Here the current leads to voltage, so it should be a positive phase shift, right?
