The condition is that the Inductor shorted at DC when t = infinity, Capacitor opens.

When the switch is open, the currents only flow through the capacitor and 3-ohm resistor.

So, the voltage across 3-ohm resistor is taken.

When the switch is opened till t = infinite, how can we calculate the voltage across 3-ohm resistance? There is no current flow when the switch is opened.
