IC = (Vcc-Vd)/RC = (20-2)/1000 = 18mA.

Ib = Ic/beta = 18mA/100 = 0.018mA.

If the base resistance is 50k then how its possible I mean a value of 100 from where it comes?

I think exact answer is 178 mA.

We can't forget the V drop of 0.2 V across Vce in saturation.

In this question it is negligible, but it may not be in other question.
