It is simple +5% for maximum resistance (120000+6000) and -5% for minimum resistance (120000-6000). In question, maximum resistance asked so 120000+6000 = 126000.

Because of 5% tolerance(last color gold), this resistance may vary 5% of 120000.

Minimum resistance value = 120000-6000 = 11400.
Maximum resistance value = 120000+6000 = 126000.

Brown 1, Red 2. Yellow 10^4, Gold +-5%.
The maximum value means + 5%.
12*10*10*10 * 10 = 120000,
120000*5/100 = 6000.
120000+6000 = 126000ohm.

Because of 5% tolerance(last colour GOLD), this resistance may vary 5% of 120 000.
Minimum resistance value = 120 k - (120k * 0.05) = 114 k ohms.
Maximum resistance value = 120 k + (120k * 0.05) = 126 k ohms.
