The maximum resistance value for a brown, red, yellow, gold resistor is

Formula for finding resistance is
for finding max value=(ABx10^C)+T%
for finding min value=(ABx10^C)-T%
where A= 1st band colour
B= 2nd band colour
C= 3rd band colour
T= 4th band colour (tolerance)
here in this question
Brown =1
red =2
yellow=4
Gold =5%
So acc... to formula
(ABx10^C)+T%
(12x10^4)+5%
we get 120000+((120000*5)/100)
So answer is 120000+6000 =126000 ohm
for finding max value=(ABx10^C)+T%
for finding min value=(ABx10^C)-T%

B= 2nd band colour
C= 3rd band colour
T= 4th band colour (tolerance)

Answer is according to resistor color code.

It shows black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, grey, and white in 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 respectively.
That's why resistance is 120000.
And tolerance of gold is 5%.
So it become 120000+6000 = 126000.
Answer is according to resistor color code.

That's why resistance is 120000.

Answer A is right.
Question asking for "The maximum resistance value for a brown, red, yellow, gold".
So,
Brown 1.
Red 2.
Yellow 4.
Gold ±5%.
Hence, 120000 x 5/100,
= 6000.
Now for maximum value,
So, 120000+6000,
= 126000.
Question asking for "The maximum resistance value for a brown, red, yellow, gold".
So,
Brown 1.
Red 2.
Yellow 4.
Gold ±5%.
Hence, 120000 x 5/100,
= 6000.
Now for maximum value,

Why we adding 6000?
Because they asking the maximum resistance value. So we should add the tolerance of gold for 120000(120000*.05 = 6000).
If they ask minimum value we need to subtract 6000 from 120000.

EVERY ONE IS RIGHT UP TO 120000 NEXT IS DOUBT +5% or -5%. It is simple +5% for maximum resistance (120000+6000) and -5% for minimum resistance (120000-6000). In question maximum resistance asked so 120000+6000=126000.

The right answer is 1260000 ohm.
It is because brown = 1, red = 2 and yellow = 4 log10.
Therefore, resistance = 120000 and tolerance is 5%.
So, max resistence = 120000 + 5% * 120000 = 126000.

First two colors are digits: Brown-1 & red -2.
Third color yellow is multiplier: Yellow -10000.
Last color is tolerance: Gold- 5%.
(12*10000)+/_(5% of 120000) = 126000 (max).
