For 24A Current we cannot use 24 A Fuse.
Let's understand this concept:
P=IV => 24A*230V= 5,520W
P=IV => 25A*230V= 5750W.
According to a selection of fuse Parameters:
For Power Rating less than 5520W we can use 24A Fuse.
But for power rating Greater than and equal to 5520W, we would use a fuse rating greater than 24A like 25A fuse.

Every conductor in electrical system has overloading capacity if we use 24A fuse it is going to melt beyond 24A so the correct option is 20A.

The best option is 20A. Because. A 24A fuse will not break at 24. And also it is good for the circuit to keep the current somewhat below max related current.

As mentioned in the question that not to exceed above 24 amps so suitable option is 'D'. But the rating of any fuse is calculated as below.
Fuse rating = (Power/Voltage) x 125%.
Fuse rating = (Power/Voltage) x 125%.

According to electrical code 80% shall be used in protecting the branch circuit, the circuit has not exceeding 24 A therefore I choose 20 A not a 24 A. Having a 24 A into not exceeding means that circuit may less or more 23 A,

Please help me to know the exact answer. On what basis the value of the fuse is calculated?

The fuse value should be 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 ohms further it should be incremented by 5's so after 5 ohm fuse we should use 10, 15, 20, 25, . So the answer is 25. (because the fuse value should be above the current value).
