In series we know V = v1+v2+.....+Vn.
Where parallel V = V1 = V2....=Vn.

Now read you get it.

Series polarity means +- +- if voltage are connected in this manner then we call it as voltage aiding.

This question asking series aiding with respect to voltage sources, so the polarity means + (positive) and - (negative).

Normally we can connect the two battery are series for getting more voltage i.e. the battery 1 have a voltage 6 volt and other are 6 volts, so now we can get total voltage are 12 volt.

The battery 1 connected with + terminal and other second battery connected with negative terminal that means battery connect such like + - + - so the answer is false.

Question and Answer not having clarity.

Series aiding + ve of one battery should connect - ve of another battery. So it means different polarities are connecting together.

So how this answer is true based on the question?
