Total Power = 12W.
Four Resistors are in series and equal values,
Total Power = P1+P2+P3+P4.
12Watts = 3+3+3+3.
(OR)
So, total power/no of resistors,
12/4 = 3.
So each resistor have 3Watts Because the power in the series circuit also additive.

Given that : All four resistor values are equal.
i.e, R1=R2=R3=R4= R (say)
corresponding Power values also equal (P = P1=P2=P3=P4 )
So total power in four equal-value resistors = 4P
Thus
4P = 12
P = 12/4
P = 3 W.

The total power is 12. When all the resistors are in series they will dissipate equal power since there is a 4 resistors connected in series the power across each resistor is 4W.
i.e., 12/4=3W.

In series resistance r1=r2=r3=r4.., So total power is divided by no of resisters is to be connected in series.
For example 12 resistors connected means power is 1W.
For example 12 resistors connected means power is 1W.
