Irms = √(√(i1rms)+ √(i2rms)) Because i1rms=i2rms=3amps.
Irms = √(2√(irms)),
Irms = √(2)*irms,
Irms = 1.414*3 = 4.2a.
Irms = √(2√(irms)),
Irms = √(2)*irms,
Irms = 1.414*3 = 4.2a.

Since the given current values are in RMS and the total current to be found in RMS then the total current will be 6 A.
Why are you doing it for max value?
Why are you doing it for max value?

In parallel circuit current are additive.
It = I1+I2.
It = 3+3.
It = 6.
Itrms = 6*0.707.
Itrms = 4.242.
It = I1+I2.
It = 3+3.
It = 6.
Itrms = 6*0.707.
Itrms = 4.242.

@Savita is right 6A. Answer is in RMS value only no need to multiply 6A by 1.414.

6A since the type of load won't matter for parallel current distribution.

Answer A is right.
Irmstotal = IRrms+ILrms.
Itotal = 3+3 = 6 A.
Irmstotal = IRrms+ILrms.
Itotal = 3+3 = 6 A.
