Good explanation. Thanking you all.

I want to know easy method to remember the colour coding. Can anyone help me?

Red-3,orange-4,orange-4,silver=10% of Resistance color code,
344/10=34.4,
According to ohm's law I=V/R=50/34.4=2.2

resistance = 23* (10)^3 (+ or -)10 = 23010 or 22990
current = ( voltage / resistance)= (50 / 23010)= 2.2 mA

I'm not satisfy with priyaaru ans. because 23*(10)^3(+or-)10% means 23000(+or-)10% means 23000(+or-)2300.

Good job.

But I still have the question.

Green = 5.
Green = 8.

Which is right and why we use 2 values?

V=50 V, I=?

R = red, orange, orange, silver i.e. 23x10^3 = 23 k.

I = V/R.

= 50/23000.

= 2.17 mA.

Why are we not including tolerance (silver, gold) in our calculations here? Please explain.

Red 2.
Orange 3.
Orange 10^3.
Silver +/- 10%.

23000 +/- 2300.
20700/25300.

Ans is +2.4m.
