Amplitude is the value for a given of time and the Peak value is the maximum value.

Nope, maximum is peak. Amplitude is in giving time, doesn't mean it is maximum. So the answer should be "False"!

The maximum value, positive or negative, of an alternating quantity is known as its amplitude.

It is similar english which says that amplitude indicates the peak of mountain. So we could conclude that amplitude = peak and some word in EEE are analogous to english technical words.

The peak is the maximum the amplitude just measures the height at a given time of the cycle.
