Duty cycle = Ton/(Ton+Toff) of pulse waveform not high time/pulse width.

Dear @Jcreddy, 32ms is not total time period it's pulse width as written in question. So question is not correct.

At positive peak the time is 8 milliseconds or at 90 degrees. To reach 360 degrees, the time is 32 milliseconds. Therefore 8/32ms = 0.25. It means the duty cycle is 25%.

@Aleksandr.

It's pulse width given in time domain. Actually the x axes is in time rather in meters. So it gives time period for one complete wave.

The duty cycle is define as the ratio of turn on the time and total time.

Duty cycle = Ton/(Ton+Toff).

Rise time=8ms.

Total timeperiod=32ms.

Dutycycle= (rise time/totaltimeperiod) *100.

8/32 (100) =25%.

Duty cycle=(high time/pulse width)*100=(8 ms/32 ms)*100=25%

Duty cycle wave pulse are high width.

High time means peak value of wave.

Here, Ton + Toff = pulse width.
