The storage element for static ram is flipflops and that of a dynamic ram is capacitors.
Static ram is made of six transistors.
Dynamic ram is made up of one transistor and one capacitor.

1.Static RAM or SRAM stores data in FLIP-FLOPS which retains data as long as SRAM is powered Up.
2.Dynamic RAM or DRAM stores in cells that depends on Capacitors.

Thanks @Ravikanth for the clarity. Because when I see the drams are generally used with the capacitors.
