For an N-bit converter, the circuit employs 2^N-1 comparators. A resistive-divider with 2^N resistors provides the reference voltage.

Because no. of comparators = 2^n.
Because no. of comparators = 2^n.

Answer is 255. In parallel type means flash type ADC we need (2^n) -1 comparators.
