Duty cycle = pulse width/period * 100.
Given,
Period = 4pulse width,
DU = PW/4PW * 100,
= 1/4 * 100 = 25%.

Here,
The time period is given as 4 times of pulse width.
Duty cycle= on time(positive pulse width)/((on time + off time)(i.e.Time Period)) *100.
Let P be the period.
So Duty cycle%= (P/4P)*100= 25%.

Duty cycle is defined as the ratio of pulse width to the pulse period.

Duty cycle = {ON time(or Pulse width)/Total time period (which means ON+OFF time)}*100
= (t//4t)*100
= (1/4)*100.
= 25%.

The duty cycle = pw/time = t//4t = 1/4 = 25%.

Tell me defination of duty cycle? How can measure it?

How the on time become 1 and off time become 4?

Sourav Ghosh said:   1 decade ago
Duty cycle = (on time) / (on time+off time).

i.e pulse width = on time+off time.

So D.C = 1/4*100 = 25% is right.

Duty cycle = {ON time(Pulse width)/Total time period (ON+OFF time)}*100.
= (1/4)*100.
=25%.

Duty cycle = full cycle/4.

Pulse width=(Ton/Ton+Toff)*100.

=1/4*100

=25%.
