Each flipflop can store either 1 or 0, here there are 4 flipflop so it can store only 4 bits and there can be only 4 outputs but in the figure they have shown five outputs, how?

Just see the waveform. There are 5 unique data starting from all 00000 then 10000, 11000, 01100, 101100 and last 00001.
