Star schema has structure like star. It has one fact table surrounded by muliple dimension tables connected with that fact table. Thats what the relationship between fact and dimension table is one to many.

Its a easiest question, the definition of star schema itself says that it was an one-to-many relationship.

Facts are the core data elements being addressed/analyzed using the foreign key. Dimensions are attributes about the fact using primary key.

The star schema gets its name from the logical model's resemblance to a star with a fact table at its center and the dimension tables surrounding it representing the star's points. Thus as said above its nothing but one to many.

Star schema is a combination of fact & dimensions. Fact tables contains fore data elements being analysed whereas dimension tables consists of attributes of the facts and so one fact tables are connected with many dimension tables.
